Aardvark Support Group
Welcome to the aardvark home page.
Our aims are to offer support to parents and carers of ASD children, and to provide services and leisure activities to children with ASD (autism and related disorders) and their families.
What do we mean by Autism and Related Disorders? (it's a frightening term, isn't it?!) info
We are a very new group, and so our intentions greatly outweigh our current facilities, but please be patient! And watch this space. We aim to be providing activities at Willowburn Leisure Centre in Alnwick by the autumn.
In addition to the practical facilities that we hope to organise, we aim to provide e-based support to parents and carers directly. This will take the form of a web-site to provide advice and information, and an email support group to connect parents and carers with each other. Our meeting on June 23rd was very successful. A commitee was co-opted and we developed plenty of ideas that we would like to put into practice by the autumn. Who can use these services?
Anyone who subscribes to our group. We are based in Alnwick, but we hope to serve much of North Northumberland.
